The Nisichawayasi Nehetho Culture and Education Authority is seeking applicants (3) for Full Time Substitute Teachers. This position consists of fulfilling the roles of a classroom teacher on a day to day basis in various grades. This position is full time and will be required daily at either NNOC or OK School. The substitute teacher provides instructional support and classroom supervision in the absences of the classroom teacher. This position ensures a safe, respectful, and supportive environment while continuing to implement the curriculum,
· Deliver lessons and activities as outlined in the teacher’s plans.
· Maintain classroom management and uphold school rules and expectations.
· Supervise students during class, transitions, breaks, and other assigned periods.
· Support diverse learning needs and ensure all students are included in learning.
· Communicate effectively and respectfully with students, staff, and administrators.
· Document attendance and any significant student behavior or incidents.
· Leave detailed notes for the returning teacher about the day’s progress and concerns.
· Foster a positive, inclusive, and culturally respectful learning environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Education
Manitoba Teaching License
